Been having great fun recently visiting Hartlepool primary schools with the Young'Uns writing and recording songs to celebrate different aspects of Hartlepool heritage. Here's a nice little write up in the Hartlepool mail about the project

Due to touring commitments with the Young'Uns I only had time for one school visit during National Storytelling Week but I had a great time in Light Oaks Junior School in Salford on Friday 7th telling tales of Anglo Saxons, Vikings and Romans to over 300 children in 4 fun sessions. Thanks to everyone there for the warm welcome

A buys touring schedule in the autumn of 2013 limited Sean's opportunities for storytelling visits as his musical career with the Young'Uns continued to thrive. However 2014 will see him bring his stories and songs back into schools across the country.
In addition, as part of 3 piece folk group The Young'Uns, he is offering schools a range of educational packages in 2014 including a special song writing project to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the declaration of the First World War http://www.theyounguns.co.uk/education-projects/

Had a great start to my storytelling year with a special day in St Gabriel's CofE Primary School in Middleton, Manchester on 20th January
'Sean provided lively and engaging sessions for our children, which had them all, from Nursery to Year 6, spellbound. Both children and staff, had a thoroughly enjoyable day. The children spent the rest of their writing week talking about the experience, and had lots of enthusiasm to put pencil to paper.' Emma O'Brien, Literacy Co ordinator

My last story day of the school year was great fun in St Hugh's Primary School Oldham.
Spent a cool airconditioned day writing nonsensical songs inspired by Alice's adventures through the looking glass
this was my favourite verse from year 4
"I saw a billion donkeys dance
and a prank playing panda's pink pants prance!"
